The Odd Fellows and Household of Ruth were organizations of black members that did community service and outreach between the 1930s and 1940s.
The Marceau Cornet Band organized in July 1900. Members included, from left to right (first row) Tom Dougans, Gen. U.S. Grant Frye, and (standing at right with horn) Charley Beasley; (second row) unidentified, Dan Jeffries, leader John H.
