The Shiloh Baptist Church was formed around 1867. The congregation occupied a former white church before having its church building. In 1872, Shiloh acquired the present site to erect a log building that would be replaced by a church in later years. The current church is primarily the result of the efforts of the Rev. Clinton H. Harris, who pastored at Shiloh from 1921 to 1948. The church was built by African American contractor Jacob Fuller. Construction began in June 1924, and the building was dedicated on November 25. The Shiloh Baptist Church is active today.
