The Hunter Cemetery at Shady Oak Station is located on the north side of Parkersburg Turnpike (US Route 254) about 2.1 miles west of the Staunton City limits, one-tenth mile west of the junction of US 254 and Miss Phillips Rd (VA Route 708). A 2001 burial record by the Augusta County Historical Society lists 76 burials, including the family names Carter, Leech, Leitch, and Smith, with the most burials.
