Tutt’s Tavern was owned and operated by two local Black residents, William (Willie) Tut and his wife, Edith. Tutt’s offered delicious food, entertainment and private functions for its customers.
The Tutt Home was built in the 1800s. The home had several previous owners. In 1941, William and Edith Tutt, owners of Tutt Tavern, purchased the home got $650. The home is still standing and has been in the Tutt family for over 80 years. |
