- Continue north on Indian Trail Rd for 1.2 miles
This intersection and the surrounding area, extending out for a few miles, is where families and other residents house and (or) small farms once stood. The first residents to settled in the area were the Timber and Grant families. Then came the Carters and Fortunes. Other family households and residents that resided in Zenda in 1800 were Wilson, Watson, Harrison, Allen Billhimer, Falton (Fulton). In 1900, the number of households increased to seventeen that included the names Madden, Williams, Bidds, Jackson, King, Stevens, Mack, Richson, and Brock. Other the next few years the households in Zenda declined. According to the 1940 census, the last family to remain were the Watsons. Other family names that lived in the are included: Moyer, Jones, Gibson, Toliver, Snyder, Green, Bibbs, Allen, and Mauzy.
