Oak Hill Baptist Church and Cemetery was founded between the 1870s and 1880s. The church was documented on the Jedidiah Hotchkiss map of 1884. Land was conveyed to church trustees for one dollar. The congregation did not have a title for the land for 50 years. However, they were able to build a church on the property. The church was deeded property for a cemetery a mile northeast of the church. The earliest burials are in 1882, 1895, 1897, and 1899.
