The Peoples Dime Savings Bank opened on January 7, 1908 on Frederick Street a once thriving African-American commercial corridor. The bank held a steady growth over the years. The bank’s president was Samuel Lindsay, the vice president was C.F. Points, and the cashier was Thomas E. Jackson. The bank had a board of directors that included community members. The Peoples Dime Savings Bank closed its doors on October 9, 1931.
