Jacob Strayer, Jr. built this two-story mansion in 1845. The property consisted of around 1200 acres. An 1865 map of Bogota Farm marked the house in addition to 21 outbuildings, a mill, and other slave dwellings. There are two brick, white-painted, well-preserved slave quarters across the driveway from the main house. However, that cannot be seen from the road. The East Slave Dwelling is the east most of the two and is dated 1845. The small brick structure has a chimney, a sheer metal roof, and a front door with one window. The West Slave Dwelling is aligned west of the slave dwelling, is the same size, and is dated 1845. The two-unit structure has two doorways, a metal sheet roof, and a chimney. The property is now privately owned and occupied. The Bogota Farm and slave quarters were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.
