The Snack Shop was located on the corner of North Augusta and Point Streets. It was owned by an African American man named William Herman Cook. In the 1940 United States Census, Cook is listed as a manager of his own business. The part of the building that housed the Snack Shop was demolished, likely during the city of Staunton’s Urban Renewal efforts.
